Hi,
Congratulations on your wedding and also a Happy New Year to you both.. I came across your mothers blog which led me to your blog, your wedding pictures are simply beautiful. I too am married to an Indian but we missed out on the actually wedding ceremony, we just had a reception when we returned to delhi. Congrats once again.

Congratulations. Completely empathize with your story (Me=Coimbatorean, My Financee=A Guatemalan)especially after my fiancee's "meet the parents" about the same time you got married.

Best wishes to Praveen and you...I think we should create a network of inter-racial marriages in India and try to see if we can actually use the network to our advantage (For example I am sure my fiancee would freak out the day we do the "decorations" our way in our wedding). Cheers ;-)....Kannan

Kannan, Yes, a network would be good considering it seems the families can only seem to remember inter-racial marriages that have gone wrong when discussing the idea with you. It seems there were some very bad "love marriages" in Praveen's family and he had to be reminded that that is what happens in love marriages. I have no doubt though that our lives will be more difficult then if we had married someone with an identical background as your culture suggests. But, so far we are very happy and I don't expect that will change, regardless of the trials that are in store. Good luck to you, Ruth

Sandhya, not a problem. It's a good idea actually. I still haven’t had a chance to go through my pix but here is praveen’s effort at a top 100. I will send you mine soon. Miss you already, ruth
